Bidirectional Code-Text Fragment Search Dataset and Model Released

A new task links small text snippets from scientific papers to corresponding code segments bidirectionally, using a shared encoder across four span-prediction subtasks. The dataset includes GPT-4-generated training descriptions and three test partitions, one in-domain and two OOD with manual annotations. Results show strong in-domain performance with cross-domain generalization as an open challenge.
